The first release of versatile tuning boxes has been targeted at the VAG range of 1.9 TDi diesel engines, with the rest of the groups four and six cylinder common-rail diesel engines following soon.

These dyno graphs show an initial tune, intended to maximise the power and torque for the standard engine without generating excessive smoke. The original power figures show how VW under-quote the power of the standard engine, but the breadth of the improved torque curve is what really shows through when driving the upgraded vehicle. The Phirm are already working on further enhancements to the tuning of this application....
